Sam is originally from Santa Cruz, CA and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA and her Master of Medical Science degree at Yale University. Sam began her career as a first responder for Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol. With a desire to be more involved in patient care, she went on to become a Physician Assistant with focus on her passion for trauma, orthopaedics and sports medicine. Sam joined Dr. Provencher’s team at The Steadman Clinic in June, 2016. She is readily available to Dr. Provencher’s patients to answer questions in all areas including preoperative, postoperative, medication, and rehabilitation. She is an excellent resource and happy to provide exceptional care for Dr. Provencher’s patients from the greater Vail community and our patrons from around the world.
Scott is originally from Spring Green, Wisconsin and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, followed by his Master’s in Athletic Administration at the University of Wisconsin. During his time at the University of Wisconsin, Scott was a Division 1 wrestler and NCAA qualifier for the Badgers. While in college, he gained valuable experience working within an orthopedic research lab where he studied the healing process of tendons and ligaments in animal models. He then worked as a physical therapy aide and coached high school football, wrestling, and track before going on to complete his Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Iowa, where he tailored his coursework to align with his enthusiasm and interest for orthopedics and sports medicine. Scott joined Dr. Provencher’s team at The Steadman Clinic in January of 2019 and is excited to provide care for all of his patients while taking part in everything the Vail Valley has to offer.
Originally from Farmington Connecticut, Tyler packed up and moved south for undergrad where he received his Bachelor’s in Athletic Training at the University of Alabama. There he had the opportunity to work with many sports teams including Rowing, Tennis, Baseball and 2012 National Champion Football team. He also spent time as an intern with both a minor league baseball team and physical therapy clinic. He then moved to Kentucky where he accepted a position as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Louisville for two years. He earned his Masters of Science degree in Sports Administration while assisting in the care of their football team and stepping in as the interim Head Athletic Trainer for swimming and diving for a short time.
He then went on to work as a seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer with the New England Patriots football organization for one year working with a world class program and perfecting his skills as an athletic trainer before accepting an Athletic Training residency position here at The Steadman Clinic. Tyler spent his residency year exploring new opportunities in research as well as working closely with all of the world-renowned surgeons here. During this time he attained his Orthopaedic Technologist Certification allowing him to assist with surgical procedures. Following this he was hired on to Dr. Matthew T. Provencher’s staff as their Athletic Trainer to assist in both clinic and the operating room. He enjoys all the outdoor activities that Vail has to offer and is extremely excited to be in his new role and home here at The Steadman Clinic.
Robin is a native of Santa Barbara, CA, and has had the opportunity to spend about half of her life in Colorado. In 2008, Robin moved back to Santa Barbara where she worked in finance before switching to Medical Practice Management.
In March 2017, Robin moved back to Colorado and joined The Steadman Clinic as the Front Office Manager and Director of Patient Experience where she launched a concierge department, expanded four existing departments, and helped collaborate on patient experience improvement projects.
Robin joined Dr. Provencher’s team as Practice Manager in January 2018 where she works daily to ensure positive and productive experiences for patients and staff. Robin continues to focus on the patient experience and is happy to answer any questions about Dr. Provencher and his practice, as well as schedule both office visits and surgery appointments.
In her free-time, Robin enjoys various outdoor activities around the Vail Valley and brings her Chihuahua Lucy on many of her adventures.
Katie is originally from Lake Villa, Illinois. She spent one year at Central Michigan University playing Division I Field Hockey for the Chippewa’s, before transferring to University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to focus on her education. There, she pursued her love for physical activity, human movement, and sport with a degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education and Health. After graduation, Katie coached Field Hockey and Lacrosse before moving to Colorado. Katie has lived in the Vail Valley for nearly 8 years and enjoys the active lifestyle and endless outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. Katie joined Dr. Provencher’s team in February 2018 and brings a wealth of knowledge about Vail and the surrounding areas and is passionate about providing outstanding care for all patients.
